  • Specificité

The antibody recognizes Butyrylcholinesterase from Human Serum. The reagents were evaluated for potency, purity and specificity using most or all of the following techniques: Immunoelectrophoresis, Cross-Immunoelectrophoresis, single Radial Immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony), block titration, ELISA, Immunoblotting and Enzyme Inhibition. Cross-reactivities against enzymes of other sources may occur but have not been determined.

    Purification

Ammonium Sulphate Precipitation and Ion Exchange Chromatography

    Immunogène

Butyrylcholinesterase isolated and purified from Human serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

    Sujet

Butyrylcholinesterase is synthetizised in the liver, and is predominantly found in serum, liver and pancreas. This enzyme is a tetrameric glycoprotein (molecular mass of 350 kDa), and consists of four subunits. Defects in Butyrylcholinesterase are the cause of a metabolic disorder characterized by prolonged apnoea after the use of certain anesthetic drugs, including the muscle relaxants succinylcholine or mivacurium and other ester local anesthetics.Synonyms: Acylcholine acylhydrolase, BCHE, Butyrylcholine esterase, CHE1, Choline esterase II, Pseudocholinesterase
